How do you get pet odor out of carpet...FOR GOOD?

If you own your own home than you should get rid of carpet and put in hard floors. I dont understand why people put carpet on the floors. It absorbs so much filthy stuff. It doesnt make any since to put something so hard to keep clean and so unsanitary on a floor to walk on, but I guess everyone else does it, so people feel they have to also.

hmm... i really hope i'm not offending anyone, but names i dislike are: Mildred, Olga, Helga, Gertrude, Susannah, Miranda, and Lucy. some boy names are Henry, Carter, Morgan, and Sam.

Weird bugs in my house!?

Ok so in the in upper floor where the bedrooms etc are. There are black and orange lady bug and there's also some big bug that looks like a fat worm but is also black and orange. They start out as a black thing and then looks like a small worm then becomes bigger and fatter... i seems to be the only one who sees them... The babies are everywhere on the beds and etc... My mom just vaccum the room a few days before... now they are growing again -.- i told my mom the day i found out but she keep saying that she'll vaccum and use a water mop thingy to get rid of them... but i really think it wont work... they seem to be growing faster and developing more now... i'm really scared... i have to sleep in the couch because i cant live with them any longer... i asked to get a pest control but they said they will just use a water mop thingy, since the floor is always wet...

Help feeling down and confused?

wonder if anyone could help. The last couple of weeks i have been feeling down stressed with work and college and loads of fears. When i was younger i had a fear of wetting myself stupid it may seem but it felt so real. feeling as depressed as ever i have had loads of thoughts in my mind which are driving me crazy and just can't take anymore. I feel like my mind is playing tricks on me with things a felt so horrible about like pedophila, murder,rape and even incest. I could be walking by someone and just say what if i was to hurt them ect. Its relly getting me down cause i have been saying to myself i am not a bad person ect but just cant seem to trust myself its horrible. I dabbled abit into psycology at college and feel like i have a fear of the mind ect and how people act and how people can just flip and be killers ect. I have never ever thought about suicide as i thought it was wrong. any help would be preciated as im at whit ends and feel so alone sorry if this seems depressive.

I broke my computer, and want to fix it?

I upgraded my computer (desktop) from vista to windows 7, my stupid self did it through a virtualdvd thingy, so when i restarted to computer to get windows 7, it kinda broke and now says "Boot from CD" and ive tried getting new Windows 7 Recovery disks and that wont even work because when i put them in it says that i dont have to correct file or some sort like that..... I want to know how i can completely empty my computer and start from vista, or windows 7(doesnt matter but idk how to get the vista file to do this) i have some new windows 7 recovery disks but i dont know how to do this yet..... If anyone can send me to a guide on how to completely empty my computer and use a recovery disk to start from scratch that would be great.

I have a Minolta 70-210 lens and a 28mm wide angle lens would this be worth getting a Sony vs Canon or Nikon?

I am an amateur that purchased a Fuji fixed lens digital camera 5 years ago because I couldn't afford a $900 DSLR. I now would like to purchase a dslr. I love my friends' Canon Rebels but since I have the old Minolta lenses should I go with the Sony? This may be my last camera purchase so I need to make a long term decision. I take mostly scenery, people, and dabble in some close-up nature shots.
