How long will UPS take?

Okay so the UPS thingy says that my package is already in my city and that its supposed to be delivered today. Its already 3:16 PM , when should it be arriving? . It said that by the end of the day it will be delivered but like I dont know what they mean by end of the day? I dont even know their times and stuff. Can you please help me understand? Thanks
