Air Force Careers in Area Studies?

as an officer you WILL be doing admin eventually no matter how bad you might want to stay "in the field". as for a career option, you could always be an Air Attache to an ambassador or something. They've really cut down on the Intelligence and Public Affairs AFSCs so don't count on being a journalist. as an officer the most you'd probably end up doing is reviewing articles and photos taken by enlisted people whose job it is to do that or setting up projects for visitors.
