How can I give my beginning (idea) a twist?...it is so cliche and not original....?

Sounds like Hercules a bit to me, too (minus the parents being KILLED aspect.) Honestly you're not going to find some "magical awesome idea" that makes your story line better than others in the past, so just roll with it for a while; more often than not, something will spark your imagination and the plot will develop to be something of its own. The best thing to do is just write, even if you edit it all out later. Good luck!
